Chocolate Game | Health | 2025 +

Hello everyone, my name is Cedric Jade.

Today, I will describe our heal88th work, but first, I have to answer this question.

Izzy comes from a broken home what factors influence Izzy to steal from a shop, Izzy is 12.

[3 Factors Each ~]

P (Personal) –
1. Emotional Distress: She feels sad or angry about her home life.
2. Low Self-Esteem: She may feel worthless and seek validation through theft.
3. Poor Coping Skills: She lacks healthy ways to handle her feelings.

I (Interpersonal) –
1. Friends: Friends may encourage her to steal.
2. Negative Role Models: Family members might engage in similar behaviors.
3. Lack of Support: She might feel alone without positive adult guidance.

S (Societal) –
1. Economic Struggles: Financial issues may lead her to steal for basic needs.
2. Media Influence: TV shows or movies might make stealing seem cool.
3. Crime in Community: Living in an active crime area can normalize stealing.

Now that we are done with the question let’s talk about what we’ve been doing in health.

So in health, we’ve been talking about key concepts, and so far we have done some awesome activities.

Our recent activity was water pong, which we talked about in my latest health blog.

Here is the link to it —> LINK

And the other recent activity we did was the chocolate game.

Here’s how the game works, first people who are playing are in a circle formation and each person will roll a dice if the dice lands at 6 you will go to the middle, and wear the different types of things (sweater, hat, and more)  after you wear the different types of clothing, you cut the chocolate in the middle using the available things like knives if you cut it successfully you can eat the chocolate and keep going until someone rolls a 6. While you’re wearing different clothing, the dice keep getting passed until another person 6, if you were still putting on the clothing and someone gets a six you remove the clothing you were wearing, and it is the person who rolled a 6 turn in the middle.

In this game there were some different types of my Hauora affected,  one of which is my Physical Well-being, it is affected due to the game, the game requires speed when wearing different clothes.

That is all for today

Thank you for reading my blog.

Water Pong | 2025 | Legend

Hello, I’m Cedric Jade.

Today in health we played water pong where you throw a ball into a cup the hardest part of water pong is how you control your own strength and if the ball does not land on a cup you go back in the line and rotate. everyone on the team has to throw the ball at least once and rotate, and that is why this game requires teamwork and can heavily impact your taha tinana.

Not only one of your hauora is affected but instead two.

2 areas of Hauora that are affected are your physical well-being and social well-being, your physical well-being is affected because throwing the ball requires strength, while your social well-being is affected by playing the game with your team

It can impact your taha tinana by working together with your team to win. The social justice of water pong is that everyone has to take turns so playing water pong has its own fairness onto it.

I did participate in today’s activity because of the teamwork part which kept me interested.

Participating in this activity is really fun, especially working with muy team.

That is all for today,

Thank you.

Whakapakari Tinana (Fitness) & Kai Kai (Nutrition) 2024

Kia Ora, everyone, today I will be answering these questions.

  1. What is your definition of fitness

I think that fitness means being healthy and able to do physical activities. It involves strength, endurance, and overall well being.

  1. How does what we eat help with exercise and training?

What we eat is good for exercise and training because it provides the energy and nutrients our bodies need to perform well when we exercise.

  1. How might vaping affect our Taha Tinana and the choices we make around kai kai?

Vaping can affect our physical wellbeing, It can affect your appetite or cravings for more unhealthy snacks making your body unhealthy.

  1. Do you believe how we fuel our bodies affects our Mental Health? – If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes, because what we eat can affect our mood and energy levels.

  1. What is the biggest restriction to regularly eating a balanced meal?

The biggest restriction to regularly eating a balanced meal is often the time limit. Many people have busy schedules that make it difficult to prepare healthy meals.

  1. Based off what you have learnt provide an example of what you could eat in each situation and the best time to eat the meal;
  1. HITT or team sport activity
  2. First meal of the day before school
  3. Low intensity exercise like a walk or yoga
  4. Long distance run – 10km +

HITT or team sport activity –

Meal: Banana and a protein shake.

 Time: 30-60 minutes before.

First Meal of the Day Before School

Meal: Overnight oats with yogurt and fruit.

Time: Within 30 minutes of waking up.

Low Intensity Exercise (walk or yoga)

Meal: yogurt with honey and fruit.

Time: 1-2 hours before.

Long Distance Run (10km +)

Meal: Whole grain pasta with lean protein or a bagel with peanut butter.

Time: 2-3 hours before.

That is all for today

Thank You!
