Parris Goebel is a New Zealand choreographer, dancer, and actress. She is best known for her work as the choreographer behind the all-female dance crew ReQuest and for her choreography in music videos such as Justin Bieber’s “Sorry” and Ciara’s “Level Up”. Born in Auckland, New Zealand, Goebel grew up in the suburb of Manurewa and began dancing at the age of three. She started teaching dance classes at the age of fifteen and went on to study at the Auckland University of Technology, where she received a Bachelor of Performing Arts in Commercial Dance.

Music – Mindful Listening

Kia Ora Everyone! today I listened to relaxing music.

on my experience of listening to relaxing music, I must say it was quite calming. The soothing melodies and gentle rhythms helped me to let go of all the stress and worries that had been weighing me down. It was like taking a mental break from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and just immersing myself in the peacefulness of the moment. I think everyone deserves to take some time out of their busy schedules to just relax and enjoy some good music. It can do wonders for your mental and emotional well-being.

  5. What is whistling? ( as in the singing technique ) Find an example on YouTube. Which singers are famous for being able to whistle?

The four main voice types are soprano, alto, tenor, and bass. For soprano, a famous singer is Mariah Carey. For alto, a good example is Adele. For tenor, a popular singer is Freddie Mercury. And for bass, a great example is Barry White.

Yodeling is a form of singing that involves rapid changes in pitch between low and high notes. An example of yodeling on YouTube is “The Lonely Goatherd” from The Sound of Music movie.

Mongolian throat singing is a type of singing that involves producing multiple harmonic tones at the same time. An example of Mongolian throat singing on YouTube is “Khusugtun – Uillean Khuder”.

Whistling as a singing technique involves using one’s lips to create a melody. An example of whistling on YouTube is “Young Folks” by Peter Bjorn and John. Singers who are famous for their whistling skills include Bobby McFerrin and Otis Redding.

Sitar
